Poisonous Snakes

November 22, 2008

Usually snakes are always thought to be very poisonous and toxic, but the same is not true. There are other snakes that are not toxic at all. Some of them are the Common Rat Snake, the Boa Constrictor and the Anaconda and not to forget the all time favorite the Python.

But the rest of them are very poisonous, some e.gs are the rattle snake, the Gabon viper and the black Mamba. These are some of the snakes that should really be feared off and the best thing when confronted upon would be to move away. This is because the venom of these snakes would always prove fatal and if your luck seems to be very bad then you would lose your life just within some few minutes or even in an hour.

Venomous snakes are classified and categorized into four different categories such as the Elapids, the Colubrids, the Vipers and lastly the Hydrophiidae. The elapids are usually found in the tropical and the sub tropical regions of the world and they have fixed hollow fangs which they use to bite their prey and simultaneously inject that venom in its body. These venom fangs are like those hypodermic needles and the syringes and they usually have a hole in them so that the venom can be injected in the prey’s body.

But however there is no such need to worry about, these types of snakes that are mentioned above except the Rattle are only found in the tropical areas and dense forests, while some others are found in the Asian countries such as India and china. So if you are the person who seems to live in the U.S. then I would tell you only one thing, take care of the rattle snake only.

The Rattle snake is the most feared snake all over the U.S. and it is this one that is most responsible for many snake bites and snake deaths that are taking all over the U.S. The reason why this snake should be feared is because this snake has venom that is called the Haemotoxic and this is the most disgusting venom, because this would not only cause you pain but also would cause muscle tissue and bones to melt down and this does not even heal and cure for months together. This would be even worse than losing your life and it would even cause paralysis.

While the other snakes that are mentioned above such as the Gabon Viper and the Green Mamba are not found in the U.S. but only in Africa and other tropical forests. So one needs not to think about them, especially if you reside in Arizona or Texas.
