Python Snakes
Now this is one big snake that we are talking about, really the python is the largest among the snake family. And there are two kinds of these, the reticulated python and the usual one. Both of them are very aggressive and kill their prey by constriction. Though they might be non venomous but are deadly, as they are capable of devouring a small child or even a big antelope. There have been many myths and rumors that have been associated with this snake.
Python has been a common name for this non venomous species of snake that is mostly found in those equatorial regions and the tropical rain forests. These are also found in India and some parts of the green landscapes that are still there in Venezuela and Guyana. They love eating and relishing those deer’s and other smaller birds and reptiles.
These are very muscular and they are quite large and heavy, they usually kill their prey by squeezing their life out of them, till the prey doesn’t die. However, there are even some large species that even kill and swallow young crocodiles and alligators and even monitor lizards. But there are no such reports that they have killed or swallowed humans, but there are possibilities that they can gulp up a small child.
As said before they are usually found in those tropical rain forests and the sub tropical regions of Asia, Africa and the Pacific Islands. Among the species of python that exist on this planet, the reticulated python is the longest among them while the usual kind of python is the heaviest. There are other species that seem to be their cousins and they are the boa. However, there are some other kinds that are also there such as the African Rock Python, the Indian Python and the Royal Python.
After having told so much about the python, one would feel that they are very deadly to humans and one needs to keep far from them. But the truth is something you would really want to hear, these are the best snakes that can be petted and tamed at your home.
This is because they are non venomous and if you know how to treat and take care of them then they would not go for those awesome bites of theirs. So if you think that you should just avoid or kill these innocent creatures then think again?.
